Our Sympathies extended to the families of... Billy Lynn Sims

Billy Lynn Sims passed away in Tulsa, OK on Friday morning, August 27, 2021, at the age of 81 years.

Bill was son of Willie Jackson Sims and Agnes E. Sims, born on November 11, 1939 in Stuart, Oklahoma. He grew up Holdenville and attended schools there. He married Julia Ann Deel in Holdenville on November 5, 1959 and shared a love with her for 61 years.

Bill went on to work at Peoples Bakery in Okmulgee and became the owner in 1964. There he made countless of wonderful doughnuts, cookies, cakes, and other baked good delights for more than 40 years for the good people of Okmulgee and surrounding area.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Agnes Sims; his two brothers, Clyde and Lonnie Sims; three sisters, Annie Lanham, Loneva Russel, and Lora Mae Barksdale.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Sims; two sons, Kenneth and Keith Sims; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Rachel, and Katie Sims; one brother, Jesse Sims; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 11 ^th , at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
