On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, William “Bill Ford, CEO of Shawnee Milling Company of Shawnee, Oklahoma made a trip to Weleetka Elementary School to present dictionaries and his book, Will’s Trail to Compassion, The Cowboy Tales by Will Ford, to a group of eagerly awaiting third graders. Mr. Ford and the Shawnee Rotary Club have distributed dictionaries to local third graders in Shawnee. The organization decided to deliver dictionaries torural school. Mr. Ford contacted Donnie and Shirley Nero, friends of his, to deliver dictionaries in Clearview. Since the Clearview school age children attend Weleetka, Nero directed him to the Weleetka District. Nero contacted Superintendent Chris Carter who made arrangements with Elementary Principal Courtney Hare and third grade teacher Jamie Kvarme.

Read moreThe Dustin Activities Committee will be participating in the “Great American Clean Up” on April 30, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Potluck Luncheon to follow. The first 10 volunteers will receive a free T-shirt. Gloves and safety vest will be provided for all volunteers by ODOT. Let’s work together to beautify our community. We need all the volunteers we can get. We hope to see you there.
