Billye June Gann

Billye June Gann passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at her home in Lamar, Oklahoma at the age of 81.

Billye was born December 30, 1939 in Highlands, Texas to Roy Baldwin and Leona Wood Medler. She graduated from Moss Public School. Billye married Virgil Gann on April 4, 1958 in Lamar. She was a homemaker.

Billye attended Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Holdenville. She enjoyed baking, Young at Heart Ladies, and going to Golden Corral. Billye loved spending time with her family.

Billye is preceded in death by her parents; sisters; Jolene Rodriquez and Judy Medler; and grandson, Jason Gann.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil of the home; children Mark Gann of Holdenville, Shelia Singer of Ada, JR Gann and wife Robin of Horntown, and Keith Gann and Vickie of Lamar; grandkids Jon-Eric Gann and Lacey, Amber Johnson and Dex, Carrie Maxwell and Coy Curry, Michelle Suarez and Sergio, Dillon Gann and Ashley, Zach Gann, Ethan Gann and Olivia Merriman, Jonathan Hudson and Alex, and Jamie Atwood and Dakota; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren on the way; a brother Phil Medler and wife Carol of Texas; and sister Shirley Brooks of Texas. Billye is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 12 ^th , at the First Baptist Church in Holdenville with Brother Earl Scroggins officiating and music by Marla Chesser. Interment followed at Lamar Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mark Gann, JR Gann, Keith Gann, Jon-Eric Gann, Dillon Gann, Zach Gann, Ethan Gann, and Jonathan Hudson. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Dale McCoy, Keith McCoy, Russell Ring, Mike Freeman, Donnie Freeman, Charles Gann and Dale Gann.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
