Cecil “Don” Donald Wade

Cecil 'Don' Donald Wade, 84, of Holdenville, OK, died June 17, 2024, in Ada, OK. He was born on November 24,1939, to Charles Avla Wade, Sr. and Ethel Mae Boster Wade in Lane, OK. He would later attend Tranquility High School in Tranquility, CA, after his family moved across the United States.

On May 28,1959, Don married Mildred “Millie” Lorraine Daniels. They would be married for 65 years

and together they had three children, Kathy, Randy, and Dennis.

Don and Millie would later relocate to Holdenville, OK, to bring their family back to his home state.

Don was a hard worker and worked many jobs over the years but was most remembered for being a rancher and craftsman. He was also an inventor and created equipment for ranching and farming that produced real advancements to the industry.

Being an avid hunter, fisher men, and born teacher, Don often took others under his wing (including his own children and grandchildren) to teach them. Don and Millie built a legacy of loving their neighbors and family with Don always ready to build a fence or repair a vehicle. As one of his son’s said, "He could fix anything." His grandchildren remember fish ing, bowling and good talks on the back deck.

Don is survived by his wife, Mildred ‘Millie’ Lorraine Wade; his children, Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Wade Roberts and spouse John Len Roberts of Goldsby, OK, Dennis Wade and spouse Tammy Wade of Piedmont, OK, and Randy Lee Wade, and spouse Dawn Faye Wade of Temple, TX; his grandchildren, Rachel Ruth Roberts Eastin and spouse Curtis Lane Eastin of Norman, OK, Jonathan Wade Roberts and spouse Kinya Elizabeth Roberts of Florissant, MO, Rebekah Faith Roberts Staggs and spouse Tony Austin Staggs of Lindsay, OK, Benjamin Calvin Roberts and

spouse Birgit Rosalinda Rob erts of Choctaw, OK, Nathanael Blake Roberts and spouse Emi ly Ruth Roberts of Lindsay, OK, Matthew Keith Wade-Givens and spouse Katharine Lee Wade-Givens, Kyle Don Wade and spouse Leah Rachel Wade, Poway, CA, Chelsea Leigh Wade, Austin, TX; Megan Nicole Wade Leetch and Spouse Tyler Leetch, Kyle, TX, Lindsay Kaye Wade Welton and spouse Jason Robert Welton of Piedmont, OK, and Brandy Lynne Wade

of Oklahoma City, OK; great grandchildren, Abigail Christine Eastin, Ezra Lane Eastin, Jesse Wade Eastin, Natalia Faith Rose Eastin, Dallas Christopher Eastin, Jeremiah Blake Eastin, Seth Alexandar Roberts, Nicholas Wade Roberts, Lilyan Ruth Roberts, Geronimo Twohatchet, Emma Grace Roberts, Ava Mae Roberts, Christian Wade Giv- ens, Infinity Kaye Welton Bryant, Keith Welton, Patrick Welton, Kenny Welton, Katie Welton, David Welton, Jace Welton, Hunter Elliott Wade, Ava Faye Wade, Kylie Faith Wade-Bailey, and Harper Grace Leetch; his chosen children and grandchildren, Joshua Givens and spouse Bay lie Givens, of Jenks, OK, and their daughters, Hallie Givens and Kinzli Givens, Russel Cox of Holdenville, OK; as well as Don’s sister-in-law, Marie Wade; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Charles Alva Wade, Sr.

and Ethel Mae Boster Wade; siblings, Alpha Mae Soares, Ruby Lee Carey, Betty Lou Ruhl, Charles “Sonny” Alva Wade, Jr., Joan “Joanne” Marie Hunter, and William "Bill" Arthur Wade; as well as seven nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of Don and Millie’s neighbors and community who have given so much love and support over the years.

A private memorial will be set for a later date.
