Clarence Richard Proctor
Clarence Richard Proctor was born February 4, 1944 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Ernest Ray Proctor and Norma Ruth (Morris) Proctor and passed from this life June 13, 2023 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 79.
Richard spent most of his childhood in Wetumka and attended Wetumka School. He was a graduate of Wetumka High School. In 1962 he married Wanda Lee Banta. Together they traveled working on various pipeline jobs until 1970 when Richard came home to run the family grocery business, Proctor and Sons Grocery. He later owned and operated Farmers Exchange and Proctor Hardware.
Richard loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dannie Proctor.
Survivors include: his wife Wanda of the home; his children, Susan Kay Christian and husband Tim of Shawnee, Richard Brent Proctor and wife Tracy, Tony Proctor, and Jennifer Lee and husband Jason, all of Wetumka; a brother David Proctor and wife Judi of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Dannie, Justin, Alex, and Madison; Ashlee and husband Justin, Brynlee, Ethan, and Sophia; Brentnie, Zulema, Jasper Jo, Macie, Clay, and Carter; Ashton, Rylie, Carter, Kiah, Kade and Khloe; Logan and Jenna; Bailey and husband Landyn, Layla, Ryker, Anthony, and Kellie; Joshua and Noah; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Viewing will be Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 17, at 2:00 pm at the Living Water Church fellowship hall. Food, fellowship, and memories will be shared by family and friends.
