Gerald Lawrence Baxley Passes Away

Gerald Lawrence Baxley passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 80.

Gerald was born in Alhambra, California to Clinon Ovis Baxley and Alice Jean (Hines) Baxley.

He graduated from Huntington Beach High School in California. Gerald served in the United States Air Force.

He was a cattle ranch hand and enjoyed working as a cowboy with his dog Dude in Montana for over 30 years. He also enjoyed fishing and hiking in the mountains with Dude.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Cleo Baxley.

He is survived by his son Clinon Ovis Baxley II and wife Liz of Florida; sister Jo Dee Lopez and husband Herb of Sun City, California; and brother John Baxley and wife Robin of Holdenville, Oklahoma. Gerald is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cremation service was under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
