Glenda Joyce Smith

Glenda Joyce Smith passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Heritage Village Nursing Center at the age of 84.

Glenda was born December 10, 1938 in Jesse, Oklahoma to Francis Monroe Collis and Pearl (London) Collis. Glenda graduated from Holdenville High School. Glenda married Darrell Smith on July 27, 1957 at the First Baptist Church in Holdenville. She was a homemaker. Glenda enjoyed square dancing, cats and jigsaw puzzles. She loved spending time with her family.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Pearl Collis, husband Darrell Smith and her siblings.

She is survived by her sons Dewayne Smith and wife Michelle of Holdenville, and David Smith of Holdenville; grandchildren Adam Smith and wife Hollie of Holdenville, Luke Smith of Norman, Justin Smith and wife April of Seminole, and Danielle Smith of Shawnee; greatgrandchildren Hunter, Gracie, Noah, Roper, Jay, Logan, Mason, and Blaine; and sister-inlaw Lavern Roberts of Grand Prairie, Texas. Glenda is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral service was 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 3, at the First Baptist Church in Holdenville, with Pastor Tommy Azlin officiating. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Barry Woods, Leon Barrett, Josh Black, John Goodson, Layton Richmond and Kenny Snyder. Honorary pallbearers are Joe French, Mike Goodson and Rick Gant.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
