Ima Lee Lankford

Ima Lee Lankford age 99, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was born April 2, 1924 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to the late Minnie Sota (Brown) Morris. She married Homer Lankford on May 24, 1941 in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Fairview High school. She enjoyed her baking and decorating cake business, painting, ceramics, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother; husband Homer Lankford; son, Jimmie Lankford; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; step-father, Ray Harwell; and sister, Joyce Cherry.

Ima is survived by her children, Betty Nell Miller of Holdenville, and Dr. Bill Lankford and wife Cathy of Holdenville; daughter in law, Roberta Lankford of Holdenville; eight grandchildren along with numerous greatg randchildren, great-greatgrandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 27th, at First Baptist Church in Holdenville with Pastor James Poulain officiating. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bill Lankford, Woodrow Lankford, Phillip Hice Jr., Lynden Lantz, Derrick Mahurin, Dalton Mahurin. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Johnson, Billy Brown, Mark Brown, Mark Olney, and Phillip Marshall.
