Imogene Sisco Griffith
Imogene Sisco Griffith, age 84, passed away, Sunday, April 21, 2024 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She was born in Seminole County to Earnest Holmes and Daisy Mae (Smith) Sisco on September 2, 1939. On May 31, 1955 Imogene married Roy Griffith and to this marriage was one son, Robert Wayne, born in 1957. Imogene and Roy moved to Dallas in 1959 where she worked for Texas Instruments and then worked for State Farm Regional Office. They moved back to Sasakwa where she worked at E&G oil company for four years. She also worked for Big Yank in the shipping office, Covey Corp until it burned then 1 st National Bank in Holdenville. She helped Roy Sisco start Town & Country Sales in Wewoka until she retired in 1998.
Imogene's true love is her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved studying and prayer. She was a longtime member of Hill Top Family Life Center. She is survived by her son, Robert Griffith and wife Sharon Griffith of Holdenville; two grandchildren, Janette Kay and husband Billy Joe Dodge, and Zachary Griffith and wife Breane; great-grandsons, Tuff Henry Dodge, Doss Wayne, and Lane Henry Griffith; one greatgranddaughter, Tillums June Griffith; one brother, Roy Glen Sisco and wife Darla of Wewoka; sister, Lois O. Sisco of Wewoka; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other church family and friends; and special people, Pastor Russell and Michelle Ryker, Jody Powers, Jim and Jeri Jett, Jimmy and Anna Jett.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Holmes Sisco and Daisy Mae Smith (Sisco) Jett; husband, Roy Griffith; grandson, Robert Henry Griffith; brother, Charles Wayne Sisco; sisters, Ora Lee Allen Denton, Gertie Sisco York, and Margie Sisco York.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 25 th, at Hilltop Family Life Center with Roy Sisco officiating and assisted by Pastor Sam Ketcher and Jimmy Jett. Interment to follow at Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville.
Pallbearers will be Mike Sisco, Jeff Sisco, David Elliott, Pepe Chavez, Colton Stafford, and Mitch Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Allen, and Jason Allen.
