Iola Eddington
Our beloved Queen, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Auntie and Friend went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
Iola Eddington started her life on June 25, 1962 in the community of Yeager, Oklahoma. Born to her parents Oliver Daniel Eddington Sr. and Pearlene (Doll) Berry. Iola began Wetumka Elementary School and then proceeded to Moss High School where she graduated in May of 1980. She then met the late Comillious Combest JR. (CC) and to this union was born T’era Renee Duncan (Cookie), Brandi Nicole Combest and Whitney Iola Combest. Then later in years she met Dewayne Daniels and to this union Kameron Blaine Daniels was born.
She was loved by many and was a lot of fun to be around, she was always laughing and smiling, she loved Thunder Basketball and could be found at many casinos. She also loved spending time with family and friends and all the many gatherings we have.
Iola is proceeded in death by her parents, two brothers, maternal and paternal grandparents.
Iola took care of (not by choice) her eight wild grandchildren, Julius Desmon Jackson, Brylee Doll Duncan, Timothy John Ka’Mel Duncan, Tylas Cheyne Elkins, Ledgyn Blaine Duncan, Aaron Elijah Jacquez Jr. Jaxcyn Blaze Duncan, and Aalayia Emma Jacquez.
Iola leaves many siblings to cherish her memory, Elizabeth Blackshire (Bobby), Deborah Blackshire (Ronnie), Otis Ray Eddington, Virginia Allen and Jo Ella Taylor (Fred), Felicia Fields (David), Oliver D. Eddington (Cameron), Exton Eddington (Guynell), Shawn Eddington, Elgene Bolden (Claudette), Patrick Scales (Cathy), and Tamala King-Meniffee; and also a special friend Ray Bruner.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 14 th , at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Michael Robinson, Pastor, officiating.
Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.
