John Edward Maxwell

John Edward Maxwell passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville at the age of 75.

John was born February 23, 1948 in Farmington, Maine to John Weymoth Maxwell and Laniece (Wilkins) Maxwell. John graduated from Sam Houston High School. He attended college in Arlington, Texas and received his Bachelor degree. John was a self employed home builder in the home construction industry. He enjoyed cattle, farming, carpentry and mechanics. John loved spending time with his family and friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John and Laniece Maxwell.

He is survived by his wife Linda Maxwell of the home; children, Jonathan Maxwell and wife Hazel of Allen, Oklahoma, Michael Maxwell and wife Sheila of Eucha, Oklahoma, and Jason Maxwell and wife Sarah of Gravette, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; two greatg randchildren; siblings Larry Maxwell and wife Debbie of Garland, Texas, and Cheryl Miller and husband David of Garland, Texas. John is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held 11:00am, Monday, February 19th, at Lighthouse of Prayer in Arpelar, Oklahoma.

Arrangements were by Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
