Velma Bess, 85, of Tulsa, OK passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Velma was born May 10, 1935 in Clearview, OK. She was the daughter of John M and Ivy Mae Toles. She was the oldest of 4 children

.After graduation from Clearview High School, Velma attended Langston University where she met her adoring husband, David L Bess. Velma was the loving mother of 4 children: Davetta, Donna, Almeda and David Augustus.

Velma leaves to cherish her memory 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Velma will be dearly missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of close friends.
