Martha “Sue” Dodson passes away

Martha “Sue” Dodson was born on March 31, 1953 at P & S Hospital in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Parents of this child were Eugene and Mary Ella Poe Dodson. She passed at the Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers, Oklahoma on Jan. 29, 2020.

She began school in Dustin and later transferred to Wetumka Schools. During her junior year she moved to Albuquerque where she graduated high school. After high school she worked as a waitress. She enjoyed crocheting and working with cats and dogs.

Sue and Daniel Gleason were married in 1969. Three children were born to this couple. Angela Leslie, Shannon Renaie, and Christian Daniel. The couple later divorced.

Sue and Pete Dodson were married in Tahota, Texas in 1991. Pete preceded her in death in 2012.

Sue is survived by a daughter Shannon Lark of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, son Christian and wife Shane Gleason of Pueblo, Colorado. Grandchildren include Michael and Kristina Gleason of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alan Lindsey of Lubbock Texas. Bailey Gleason of Vermont, Kyler Gleason and Kaziah both of Pueblo, Colorado. She is also survived by sister Sharon Dodson Hall of Dustin, Oklahoma, brother-in-law Mike Dodson of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Angela Gleason, sister JoAnna Dodson Hensley, and brother Michale Dodson.

As per her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to a Mental Health Organization
