Melva Dunn

Memorial Services for Melva Dunn will be held Friday, June 4, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah, Oklahoma.

Melva Dunn was born August 10, 1948, North of Okemah, Oklahoma to David and Lile Mae (Anderson) Richard. She passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021, in Okemah, Oklahoma at the age of 72.

Melva went to elementary school in Clearview and later attended high school in Weleetka and Bearden before graduating from Boley High School. She later worked as a State Correctional Counselor in Boley, Oklahoma. She married Cleveland Dunn in 1966 and then later divorced. She loved gardening, feeding her birds, and most of all fishing. She loved to go visit her sister in Gore, Oklahoma and they loved to shop together. She will be missed by so many family and friends. She is preceded in death

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, James B. Richard, and Willie Richard, 2 sisters, Ardelia Brown and Wilma J. Dean,

Survivors include her son, Lloyd Dunn of Boley, OK., daughter, Brandi Dunn of St. Paul, MN., sister, Dora (Richard) Dixon and husband Donald Dixon Sr. of Gore, OK., and two brothers Melvin Richard of OKC. OK., and Jimmy Richard and wife Carol Fletcher of OKC. OK., and sister-in-law, Frankie Richard of OKC, Ok. 6 grandchildren, DeJuan Williams, Sierra Dunn, Centria Dunn, Anastasia Dunn, Dquante Dunn, and Zharia Dunn, 6 great grandchildren, Koda Williams, Kase Williams, Jameire Simmons, JaLeel Simmons, DeNiah Williams and Aiden Dunn.

Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Rev. Cleophous Jones on June 4, 2021, at 1:00 P.M.
