Our sympathy is extended to the family of Vivian Davis
Vivian Anne Davis passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 62. Vivian was born August 11, 1961 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Forrest Peck and Nelda (Bishop) Peck. She graduated high school and then attended Voc-Tech Nursing in Ada. Vivian was working at Holdenville General Hospital and it was there she met her love Marty Davis. She married Marty Davis June 12, 1992 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She gave birth to her daughter Paula Sankey, who was a preemie and a son Arles Wells, whom she donated a kidney to him in 1995. Vivian worked in the nursing field for 35 years.
At the time of the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995, she went to help work at the bombing site and received a certificate from the Red Cross for her volunteer service. During her nursing career, she worked at all the metro nursing homes and in home health care. Vivian was a nurse for 10 years at the CCA Correction Center.
Vivian was a simple person, loved spending time and taking care of her husband Marty. She enjoyed reading and her retirement. Vivian loved the Lord. She cared for all her patients more than herself. Most of the younger nurses and aides that worked under her shift all called her lovingly “Mom.”
