Reinhold “Ronnie” Dallinger

Reinhold “Ronnie” Dalinger was born August 13, 1943, to Jakob and Emilie Dalinger. He went home to the Lord on February 1, 2024.

A mason by trade, Ronnie worked hard and was a committed Christian, devoted husband, devout American patriot and staunch Republican. He was proud of his family and proud to be an American, a title that he cherished greatly. He was born in Poland in the midst of World War II to a refugee family of German heritage, seeking freedom and riddance of the persecution that had followed them from communist Russia to Poland.

His father was imprisoned for his faith and beliefs and the family spent time in a detention camp before he, his parents, and siblings escaped to the USA, which solidified a love and appreciation for the USA and her freedom in a way that many have not experienced. His was a true American story.

He was a hard worker throughout his life as a mason, truck driver, truck stop owner, tire man, food truck owner, propane delivery, and campground host. He enjoyed livestock, gardening, and construction in general, always having a project or two in the works. From wagons, to gardens, to fences, to smokers, to barns, his love of building and creating for his family was evident, even to the day that the Lord called him home. However, his greatest role was that of devoted father, husband and Papa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jakob and Emilie Dalinger, sister Lydia, sister Kathrin, and brother Jakob “Jay” Dalinger, and four other siblings on their journey to from Russia to Poland and the USA. He is survived by his wife, Sherry; son Chris and granddaughter Makenzie, of Gerty; son, Duane and children of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service was 10:00 am Tuesday, February 6th, at the LightHouse of Prayer, Arpelar, under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
