Rosie McDonald

Rosie McDonald, 80, died suddenly on February 4, 2023 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona.

Rosie was born on June 22,1942 in Bedford, Indiana to Clarence Callahan and Mary Jo Gilbert. She loved entertaining her friends and family, traveling and playing canasta. She moved to Phoenix to be near her daughter’s family after her husband, the love of her life, passed away five years ago.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles (Bill) McDonald; seven sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her daughters Jackie (Jeff) Livingston, and Madolyn Brown; granddaughters Gabrielle Livingston and Audra McClelland; stepdaughter Liz (Jeff) Cullum and her daughter Rachel Dendy; her sisters Jackie Short, Linda Randolph, Kay Nordhoff; and brother Mike (Debbie) Gilbert; as well as numerous other family and friends.

She had a wonderful smile and sense of humor and was deeply loved by many.

Viewing will be 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, February 24th, at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., February 25th, at the First Baptist Church in Calvin, Oklahoma with Pastor Kurtis Stoll officiating. Interment will follow at Calvin Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jeff Livingston, Jeff Cullum, Rob Jones, Mike Sheaffer, Mike Chronister and Danny McDonald.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
