Service to be held for David Diamond
Holdenville native, David Diamond, died on February 17, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah. After growing up in Holdenville, David also lived in Norman, Shawnee and Tulsa for many years before ultimately moving to Salt Lake City.
David attended Holdenville schools and graduated from Culver Military Academy in Indiana. After high school, David attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned a degree in petroleum and geological engineering before he worked with his father, Harry Diamond, in the oil and gas business.
Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Betty Diamond, David is survived by his son, Jason Diamond, brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Nance Diamond, as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Marge and John Gaberino. David was also a devoted uncle to seven nieces and nephews and their families.
During his years living in Utah, David befriended and was lovingly cared for by Abbas Tareh and his wife, Sayda. The family will be forever grateful to both Abbas and Sayda for making David’s last year’s so full of wonderful experiences. David was blessed for having found such wonderful caregivers who became the best of friends.
David lived a full life and loved everyone around him deeply and generously throughout his 68 years despite facing overwhelming adversity and daunting illness with relentless fortitude.
A graveside service will be held at Holdenville Cemetery Chapel on March 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Anyone wishing to memorialize David may contribute to the Holdenville Educational Foundation.
