Service Friday for Carolyn Fay Womack

Carolyn Fay Womack passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 in Porter, Texas at the age of 79.

Carol was born December 13, 1944 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Harold Gus Merkel and Bessie Lorene (Hollinghead) Merkel.

Carol graduated from Lamesa High School in Texas. Carol married Ronald Martin in Lamesa, Texas .

They had two children, Tawania and Shannon.

Ronald passed away .

Later, Carol married Johnny Womack in Center, Texas. She worked for American Greetings traveling as a customer representative for many years. Carol enjoyed reading and especially talking to her sister on the phone.

She loved spending time with her family.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Bessie Merkel; her first husband, Ronald Martin, and husband Johnny Womack.

She is survived by her daughter, Tawania Lott and husband Wade of Crosby, Texas; son, Shannon Womack and Susie Kimble of La Porte, Texas; greatgranddaughter Charley Bradshaw of the home; grandchildren Drew Bradshaw, Blake Womack, Dakota Womack, Lindsey Lott, and Logan Lott; six greatg rand children; sister Pat Beck of Holden ville; and brother Harold “Buddy” Merkel and wife Gloria of San Antonio, Texas. Carol is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

Carol will be laid to rest with Okie her beloved dog and champion of 14 years.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 19th, at Holdenville Cemetery with Pastor Chip Lott officiating.
