Service Friday for Florene Weger

Florene Weger passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Heritage Village Nursing Center in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 91.

Florene was born September 23, 1932 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Arthur Carter and Dora Jane (Milum)

brother Wildon Carter of Wesley Chapel, Florida; sister- in-law Dorothy Carter of Wewoka; daughter-inlaw Margot Weger of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and son-in-law Carter. She attended Wetumka public school. Florene married Ishmael Leon Weger on September 19, 1950 in Oklahoma City. She was a shade maker for Big Yank Clothing Factory in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Florene loved the most spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, cooking and playing cards Florene is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ishmael; children Michael Weger, Cathy Sipes, and Larry Weger; siblings Chlorene Carter, Andrew Carter, and Gene Carter; and one grandson.

She is survived by her children Sharon Bryant of Seminole, Janie Pierce and husband Eric of Allen, and Pamela Calvert; Jimmy Sipes of Wewoka. Florene is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be 3:00pm-7:00pm, Thursday, November 2nd, at Hudson- Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 3rd, at Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Colton Arbuckle officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
