Service held for Bessie Mae Parker
Bessie Mae Parker passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 78.
Bessie was born September 18, 1941 in Egypt, Texas to Walter Carl Howell and Lizzie (Zickuhr) Howell. She married Bill Parker. In her retirement years, Bessie helped her daughter at the Pawn Shop every day. She loved hanging out with friends and crocheting.
Bessie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill Parker; and sister Nelda Esquille.
She is survived by her daughter Ramona Cross and husband Lynn of Atwood; son Ronald Free and wife Sharon of Santa Fe, Texas; son David Free and wife Jessica of Kentucky; grandchildren Craig Lynn Cross of Atwood, Ashley Nicole Cross of Atwood, Travis Free of Santa Fe, Texas,
Tyler Free of Santa Fe, Texas, Christopher Free of Santa Fe, Texas, Ryan Free of Michigan, and Lacy Free of Michigan; sister Margaret Patterson and husband Chuck of Sommerville, Texas; sister Edna Charanza of Pearland, Texas; special friends Ellen McCarn, Charlene, and Shelly and Darrell Brown; and fur babies Gidget, Bendi, Zoe and Bandit. Bessie is also survived by numerous other family and friends.
Funeral service was 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 19 th , at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, with Pastor Darrell Brown officiating. She will then be taken to Hayes Funeral Home in Hitchcock, Texas for services. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Park, Santa Fe, Texas.
