Service held for Betty Jane Bear

Betty Jane (Bruner) Bear, a resident of Dustin, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at her home in Dustin, OK at the age of 91. She was born August 22, 1928 in Salem, OK to Bunny Bruner & Sallie (Scott) Jones.

She is preceded in death by two children, Joe Bear and Mollie Jane Bear; her parents, Bunny Bruner and Sallie (Scott) Jones; and six siblings, Charley Jones, Ed Jones, Jesse McDermott, Benny McDermott, Mandy McNac, and Nancy Jones.

She is survived by eight children, Ima Ferdig (Dennis) of St. Louis, MO, Buster Bear Jr. (Kathy) of Tulsa, OK, Inez Zimmerman (Richard) of Eufaula, OK, Ila Fife (Brian) of Henryetta, OK, Linda Jane Bear of Dustin, OK, Nathan Bear (Elizabeth) of Cache, OK, Sallie Bear of Henryetta, OK, and Eddie Bear (Becky Jordan) of Dustin, OK; twenty-five grandchildren; sixty-one great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren and two brothers, Leroy McDermott (Imogene) of Glenpool, OK and Jacob Bruner of Wetumka, OK.

Viewing was held from 6-8 pm on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services were held at 2:00PM Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Wallace Gambler, officiating. Interment followed at the Harjo Family Cemetery in Ryal, Oklahoma. Services were under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
