Service Held for Carol June Monday

Carole June Monday passed away Saturday, August 2, 2024, in Oklahoma City at the age of 86.

Carole was born January 29, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to Lloyd Orville Riggs and Margaret (Kemp) Riggs. Carole graduated High School in Dallas, Texas. She attended OSU and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked as an RN at the VA Nursing Home.

Carole married Warren Monday. She was a member of the Assembly of GodinHoldenville. Caroleenjoyed crafting, quilting, collecting dolls, and making clothes. She loved spending time with her family.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents Bud and Margaret Riggs; husband Warren Monday; and siblings, Ray Riggs and Richard Riggs.

She is survived by her children James Monday and wife Velma of Georgia, Dennis Monday and wife Mariela of Virginia, Jennifer Halsey and husband Terrance of Meeker, and Anthony Monday and wife Kelsey of Seminole; seven grandchildren; numerous greatg randchildren; brother Bill Riggs and wife Ladaria of Marietta, Oklahoma; and daugher-in-law and caretaker Shirla Silvestri of Mustang. Carole is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside service was 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 7th, at Holdenville Cemetery, with TerranceHalseyandJulioDeleon officiating. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
