Service held for George “Butch” Neese

George “Butch” Allen Neese was born on November 27, 1939 to George Wilburn Neese and Lillie (Meeks) Neese at their home in Wetumka, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on February 13, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

George went to school in Wetumka, graduating from high school. He served four years in the army in Massachusetts, and later worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas until he retired. He and his wife Thelma were avid fishers, and he was a die-hard fan of the OU Sooners.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; sisters, Phyllis and Glenda; and parents, George and Lillie Neese.

George is survived by his three children, Mark Neese and wife Sherry of McLoud, Tammy Jones of Tulsa, and Mike Neese and wife Denise of Wetumka; brother Max Neese and wife Nancy of Wetumka; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for George “Butch” Neese were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in the Spradlin Memory Chapel.
