Service held for Mary Elizabeth Taylor

Services for Mary Elizabeth (Noon) Taylor were held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the A-Q Levina Beaver Senior Citizen’s Center in Wetumka, Oklahoma and officiated by Conny Hart.

Mary Elizabeth Taylor was born August 31, 1932 in Paden, Oklahoma to Alex and Minnie (Grant) Noon.  She passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her home in Wetumka, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

Mrs. Taylor was a longtime resident of the Wetumka and Okemah area.  She was a graduate of Okemah High School and 1970 graduate of the University of Oklahoma.  She and Cornelius Taylor were married February 24, 1951 in Sebastian County, Arkansas; he later preceded her in death.  Mrs. Taylor enjoyed Thai - Chi, gardening, crocheting and reading.  She was a very active woman who enjoyed walking and attending the Lighthouse Christian Center in Eufaula, Oklahoma.

She is also preceded in death by one son, Cornelius “Woody” Taylor, Jr. and two brothers, William and Jim Noon.

Survivors include two sons, William Taylor of Austin, Texas and Charles Taylor and wife Carol of Okemah; three daughters, Debbie Taylor of Tulsa, Cheryl Hart and husband Conny of Stroud, Oklahoma and Gwyn Taylor of Beggs, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

All arrangements were handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
