Kenneth Dale Towery passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1940, in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Tom and Ruby Towery. He graduated from Wetumka High School in 1958 where he graduated lettering in multiple sports and participating in FFA and ROTC. Ken learned two of his passions at a young age; how to play the guitar and hunt. He thoroughly enjoyed playing music for people and made it a personal challenge to learn to play as many instruments as possible. He answered the call as a lifelong hunter, but his true enjoyment focused onraisingandtrainingaward winning coon hounds and bird dogs.

Ken loved playing different sports including softball past the age of 55. He showed his love and devotion for his family and sports by coaching his children for many years at various times of his life sometimes finding just enough time to ar- rive at the ballfield to coach in his nice work clothes. Ken demonstrated perseverance and strong leadership as successful public servant for the federal government at the Federal Aviation Administration for over 35 years where he retired as a GS15. Ken had a big generous and compassionate heart alwayswillingtolendahelping hand to anyone who needed it. He was incredibly loyal to friends and family oftentimes taking on the role as a peace maker. Ken possessed a big personality consisting of a funny, ornery disposition that would capture a room. He is dearly loved and will be dearly missed. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters June and Pat and other family and friends. He is survived by siblings Bob and Charlotte Towery, Phyllis Osborn, Jan and Don Preston. He is survived by his loving wife Mary ToweryanddaughterChelsea Sims; former wife Barbara Joiner, their children: Beverly andMikeHenning,Cheryland EliNatividad.Heissurvivedby his former wife Rebecca Towery, their children Dane and Prisca Towery and his grandchildren: Adam and Kezia Henning, Zachary Henning, Josh and Whitney Weimer, Eli and Karen Natividad, and Bobbie Natividad; their great grandchildren: Naarah, Nathan, Lael, Elias, Evelyn, Apphia, Ezra, Kera, Liam, Duke, Freya, Hadleigh, and Benjamin.

Per family request, visitation for Kenneth Towery will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM.

Graveside services will follow at Wetumka Cemetery at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 28.

Services are under the direction of Williamson- Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
