Service held for Dorothy Jean Gutierrez

Dorothy Jean Gutierrez, 77, of Wetumka, Oklahoma died on April 17, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dorothy was born on May 2, 1941 in Wetumka, the daughter of Sammie Fish and Martha Marian Berryhill.

Dorothy earned her GED and then went on to earn her LPN. She lived in Amarillo, Texas for a time before returning to Wetumka and making her home near her family. Her hobbies were reading, fishing, raising chickens, and growing flowers.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Sammie and Martha, and by her granddaughter, Natalie Sue Larney.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Marian Larney and husband Russell of Lamar, Oklahoma; four grandchildren: Samantha Larney and husband, Demont; Keith Larney and wife, Marschelle; Brian Larney and wife, Brianna; and Damian Larney and wife, Jessica; by eight great-grandchildren, Dametris, Dezire, and Kaitlyn Larney, Tyler and Leah Harjochee, Isaiah, Ryder, and Teddi Larney, and one great-grandchild on the way. She is survived by her sisters, Margie Scott of Wetumka, Sylvania Caldwell of Wetumka, and Mary Proctor of Prague. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and many dear friends.

Funeral services for Dorothy Gutierrez were held at Middle Creek #1 in Carson, Oklahoma. Rev. Mark Smith officiated. Pallbearers were Anthony Fish, Dametris Larney, Tyler Harjochee, Brian Larney, Damian Larney, and Keith Larney. Honorary pallbearers were, Marcus Fish, Samuel Fish, Antonio Scott, Samuel Scott, Raymond Scott, and Brandon Tiger. Interment in Salt Creek Cemetery in Wetumka, under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
