Celebrating the Homegoing Of Delandria Lashay Hunter
June 27, 1988 – April 11, 2019
Delandria “Dee Dee” Lashay Hunter was born on June 27, 1988 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alfonso and Kelly Washington. She received her education at John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, graduating class of 2006.
On April 5, 2007, Gregory D. Washington (son) was born and on February 28, 2015, De’Mari R. Washington (daughter) was born. Delandria married the love of her life, Charles D. Hunter on March 29, 2018. Together they share five children, Kenneth Paul, Charles Munn, Tacori Pitts, Gregory D. Washington, and De’Mari R. Washington.
Delandria worked n the customer service field to provide for her family, but her passion was child care and gift making. She had successfully started her gift making business (Dee’s Customer Gifts) and was in the process of opening a home daycare. Delandria accepted Christ at an early age and has always been kind-hearted, willing to help anyone she could and was big on family and friends.
Delandria was preceded in death by Mae Dell Alexander (grandmother), Demus T. Washington (grandfather, Pearline Nichols (great-grandmother), Leota Washington (great-grandmother), Lloyd Abington (great-grandfather), Taeonna Washington (niece) and other loved ones that have passed on.
Delandria is survived by Charles D. Hunter, Gregory D. Washington, De’Mari R. Washington, Kenneth Paul, Charles Munn, Tacori Pitts, Kaleb Simpkins, Kenzie Paul, Mary Fulson, Kelly Washington, Alfonso Washington, Darlene Alexander, Desiree Lambert, Ricky Lambert, Kandee Alexander, Alphonso Washington II, Latoya Robinson, April Hunter, Sherrilynn Hunter, Camille Smith, Rody Smith, Louise Brooks, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Delandria is the great great-great granddaughter of the late A. T. and Julia Golden of Clear-view. She is buried near them and other family members in the Northfork Cemetery in Clear-view, Oklahoma. Services were held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:30 a. m. at Earl M. Temple Memorial Chapel at Temple and Sons Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with Pastor Rickey L. Jacobs, officiating.
The family met at the Clearview Main Street Community Center for a family gathering and meal.
