Service held for Kalob Dwayne Hill
Kalob Dwayne Hill passed away in Oklahoma City on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at the age of 25 years.
Kalob was the son of Kenneth and Audrey (Murphy) Hill, born on November 10, 1993, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His childhood years were spent in Lamar until the family moved to Choctaw, where he attended schools and lived until moving to Oklahoma City, his home for the past five years. He worked in various occupations, including fast-food restaurant cook, maintenance, and construction cleanup. He enjoyed playing pranks on family members, and some of his favorite things were camping, playing video games, and playing with his dogs. He had a heart of gold, and would give his last dollar to anyone in need. He was so proud to be an uncle, and enjoyed creating activities for the kids to do. He had a contagious laugh. He wasn’t a judgmental person, he accepted people the way they were. He loved reading his Bible and attending the Portland Avenue Pentecostal Church with his grandmother.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hill; grandmother Beth Hill; great-grandfather Kenneth Shields; aunt Melissa Hyatt.
He is survived by his mother, Audrey Hill, of the home; two sisters, Amber Venable (Matthew) of Arcadia, and Ashley Hill of Norman; niece Braelynn Ethridge; grandmother Judy Bishop of Oklahoma City, great-grandmother Doris Gist of Colbert, and great-grandmother Lee Shields of Lamar; two aunts, Barbara Murphy of Oklahoma City, and Janelle Schindler of Christiansted, U.S. Virginia Islands; two uncles, John Hill of Sherman TX, and Paul Deree of Donnelly ID; great uncle Darrel Shields of Lamar, and great aunt Linda Cranfield of Tulsa; various other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 28, 2:00 p.m. at the Lamar Baptist Church, and Kalob was laid to rest at Lamar Cemetery. Rev. John Hill and Rev. Greg Cranfield were the officiating ministers.
