Service Saturday for Joe Bollinger
Joe Ray Bollinger was born June 26, 1939 in Calvin, Oklahoma to Sherman and Jewell (Ladd) Bollinger and passed from this life on December 2, 2019 in Holden-ville at the age of 80.
Mr. Bollinger spent his earliest years in Calvin but later relocated with his family to California. While in California his brother Harland was tragically killed in an auto accident. The family lived in various locations including Oregon, Washington, Arkansas, and Kansas. He married Betty Day and she preceded him in death on November 13, 2016. He had worked in the oil fields, doing construction, and plumbing.
Joe finally settled in Oklahoma and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by several children which include Steven and Sherman Bollinger of Wewoka and April DeShae of Sand Springs; a sister Betty Fish of Lawton; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside rites will be held Saturday, December 7 at 2:00 pm at the Tate Mountain Cemetery south of Wewoka with Rev. Tommy Azlin officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
