Jackie Ray Peace

Jackie Ray Peace passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at his home in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 75.

Jackie was born October 28, 1944 to Raymond Edward Peace and Johnie Francis Walton Peace. Jackie graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jackie married Sylvia Glendena Sharum on October 28, 1944 in Holdenville.

He was a supervisor in the telecommunications industry. He worked for McAlester Ammunition Plant and was a retired federal employee with 30+ years. Jackie was a collector of models, stamps, rocks and currency. He enjoyed spending time with family and shooting guns.

Jackie is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Sylvia; and sister Reba Woodruff.

He is survived by children Jackie Ray Peace Jr. of Oklahoma City, Elizabeth Deakins and husband Blake of Owasso, Jacintha Peace of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Robert Patrick and wife Jessica of Texas, Tina Thomas and husband Tony of Oklahoma City, J.R. Peace and wife Angie of Buckholts, Texas, and Rebecca Nelms and husband Jeremy of McAlester; numerous grandchildren a n d great grandchildren; siblings, Nannette Wagner of Holdenville, Raymona Kanada of Holdenville, and Donna and Larry Hamilton of Holdenville; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 14 ^th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Pastor Butch Capps officiating.

Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.
