Lora Ellen Skiles

Lora Ellen Skiles of Holdenville passed away in her home April 10, 2020. She was born on August 26, 1934 in Connerville, Oklahoma to William Arthor and Leona “ Oma ” Shasteen Timmons.

She married Robert Skiles on November 7, 1953 and became a homemaker. Lora was a member of the Assembly of God Church, loved music, played guitar, sang, loved quilting and Shawnee Senior Citizens. Lora and Robert spent 25 years of their marriage on the Traugh Ranch, north of Holdenville.

Survivors include three children, Marcia Kay Bane and husband Danny of Hartshorne, Randy B. Skiles and wife Chris of Morris, and Troy Skiles and wife Karla of Okmulgee; four grandchildren, Brandon Beck, Billy Skiles, Mark Skiles and Courtney Skiles; six greatgrandchildren, Angelica Beck, Bella Beck, Riley Skiles, Emmitt Skiles, Maggie Skiles and Katie Skiles; and one sister, Margle Skiles of Winfield, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Skiles; seven siblings, brothers Hollis, Dellis, Chester and Francis Timmons, and three sisters, Charlsie Lewis, Sylvina Stevens and Ola Mae Sutterfield

Private graveside services was held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15 ^th , at the Pontotoc Cemetery in Pontotoc, Oklahoma. Due to COVID-19 ,social distancing was practiced.
