Service Saturday for Carrie Stroud

Carrie Dionne Stroud was born June 1,1969 to Lawrence Dale Ross and Linda Renee (Barger) Ross in Weatherford, OK and went to be with her Lord, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Plano Presbyterian Hospital, Plano, Texas.

Carrie lived with her parents in Lookeba, Ok until February 1974, when as a family they moved to Wetumka, OK. Her brother Chad was born in 1975 making the family complete. Carrie was a 1987 graduate of Wetumka Public School and while she lived in Wetumka was an active member of Wetumka Living Water Church. Carrie attended OCU in Oklahoma City majoring in Psychology. While living in Albuquerque, she was a member of Central Assembly of God where she enjoyed singing on the Praise and Worship team and often opened her home up for bible study.

Carrie married Dom Stroud on Aug. 16, 2016 at Pebble Beach in Californian. Carrie enjoyed being a homemaker, entertaining both for her husband and his business and their many friends. Loving to cook, often her guests would join her in the kitchen and visit while she prepared dinner for them. People of all ages enjoyed being in her home and considered Carrie a joyous hostess, often speaking of her contagious laugh.

A highlight of her life was traveling with her husband Dominic. They enjoyed trips to France, Italy, England, and Germany, several U.S. Cities, and tropical destinations in South America & Mexico.

The true joy in her life was her two children, son Ross Tribble Burrus and daughter, Taylor Renee Burrus. She loved the adventures raising her children and being with them. During their childhood she was enthusiastically involved in whatever activities they participated in.

Carrie loved her puppies. She had three English Bulldogs, Lola, Daisy, and Lulu, who consumed much of her time but she wouldn’t have had it any other way.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Alvin and Mhadeen Ross of Lookeba, OK and maternal grandparents Ogland and Kathryn Barger of Wetumka, Ok.

Survivors include her husband, Dominic Stroud of the home, son Ross Tribble Burrus, Lewisville, Tx, daughter, Taylor Renee Burrus, Frisco, Tx. Her parents Dale and Renee Ross, Mustang, Ok. One brother and sister in law, Chad and Jolinda Ross, of Yukon, Ok., and their children, Carter, Cooper and Lillie. Numerous cousins and many friends.

A memorial service for Carrie will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 2PM at the Living Water Church in Wetumka.
