Andrea Lee Harjo passed away in an auto accident near Wetumka, Oklahoma on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at the age of 37 years.

Andrea was the daughter of Herman and Geneva (Powell) Harjo, born on October 21, 1982, in Ada, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville. She worked for the past two years as a DDCA helping the disabled at Pioneer Nursing Home in Wetumka. She was a member of Middlecreek Baptist Church #2 in Holdenville. She enjoyed an occasional visit to the casino, but she was a homebody and her home is where she wanted to be. She liked watching TV and loved spending time with family. Her granddaughter, Kaitlynn, was the light of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Geneva Harjo; and one brother, Hiram Harjo.

She is survived by two daughters, Lakaya Lena and Jaelee Lena, and one grand-daughter, Kaitlynn Harjo, all of the home; her companion, Ben Emarthle, also of the home; one sister, Miranda James, and husband, Tracy, of Holdenville; four nieces, Genelle James, Alexis James, Marvella James, and Taleala James, all of Holdenville; the father of her children, Marty Lena of Wewoka; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 20 th , 2:00 p.m., at Fisher Funeral Home’s Lillye Chapel, and Andrea was laid to rest at the Powell Family Cemetery in Holdenville. Rev. Frank Moppin and Rev. Jimmy Anderson were the officiating ministers. Pallbearers were Amos Lovejoy, Cameron Gordon, Russell Lowe, Benjamin Powell, Marty Lena, and Bruce Tiger. Honorary pallbearers were Danny Powell, Bunny Powell, Roy Powell, Jesse Moppin, Sherman West, and Leo Moppin, Sr.
