Service held for Donald “Don” Cochran

Donald Wayne Cochran, lovingly called “Papa” by many, was born March 1, 1938 in Slick Oklahoma to Bert Cochran and Lilly (Crump) Cochran. He passed away at his home in Weleetka, Oklahoma on July 27, 2020 at the age of 82.

Don worked for many years in a variety of fields, including farming and agriculture. He also worked as a mechanic, working on automobiles and farm implements. He was always industrious but even more than being known as a hard worker, he will be remembered as an amazing father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Donald was married to Iva Cochran and to their union three children were born, Lori, Noel, and Marty. After Iva passed away, Donald was married to Bonnie Cochran.

Don had eight grandchildren: Kayla Holland, Roy Patrick, Missy Howton, Kristy Scott, Josh Wilbanks, Jerome Wilbanks, Heather Wilbanks, and Matthew Mitchell. Don had many great-grandchildren. Don also had three stepchildren: Virginia; Roy; and Suzie.

Rites were conducted at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka, Oklahoma on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 10:30am and interment and graveside service followed at Kellyville Cemetery in Kellyville, Oklahoma at 1:00pm.
