Louise Beshears
Mary Louise Beshears passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020 with family around her. She was born on November 2, 1928 to Haskell and Hazel Bryant in McAlester, Oklahoma.
Louise was the oldest of six children. She was raised in Wewoka, and graduated from Wewoka High School in 1946. She married the love of her life, Theodore (Ted) Beshears, on November 8, 1946.
Louise loved sewing. She made her girls beautiful clothes for school and church. She found a love for quilts after she retired. She made numerous quilts and baby blankets pouring her love and heart into each one. Mary Louise Beshears, “Gaga”, was a gift to everyone who knew her.
Louise is survived by four siblings, Naomi Wilson of Van Buren, Arkansas, Paul Bryant of Tahlequah, Deanna Curtain of Wewoka, and Peggy Hobgood of Seminole; her three daughters, Mike and Linda Calvary of Wylie, Texas, Joe and Glenda Vallandingham of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Tommy and Marilyn Velasquez of Yukon, Oklahoma. Louise (Gaga) had eight grandchildren, Amy Jenkins of Stephenville, Texas, Keith and Marjie Jones of Farmersville, Texas, J Ryan and Kelsie Thomas of Tulsa, Michael and Tara Vallandingham of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kenny and Christina Knecht of Luling, Louisiana, Johnny and Beth Babb of Holdenville, Chad and Becky Elliott of Allen, and Joe Brent and LeAnn Loftis of Sulphur. Louise also had 27 great-grandkids she adored as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; her husband Ted Beshears; one brother McCoy Bryant; one grandchild Julie Beth Vallandingham; and one great-grandchild Morgan Kendall Jones.
Family and friends gathering will be 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, December 17th, at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, December 18th, at the First Baptist Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Dr. Michael Vallandingham officiating. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Keith Jones, Johnny Babb, Michael Vallandingham, Joe Brent Loftis, J Ryan Thomas, and Chad Elliott. Honorary pallbearers are Easton Elliott, Tucker Elliott, Eriq Clark, Johnathan Vallandingham, Cooper Jones, and Will Thomas
Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
