Reginald Cortez Ward gained his Heavenly wings on January 5, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at age 48 years.
Mr. Ward was born on July 30, 1972 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Esther Louise Hinds Copeland, the youngest of five siblings. In the mid-70s, at a young age, he moved with his f a m i - ly from OKC to the small rural town of Weleetka, Oklahoma, where he completed elementary and High School. After graduating from Weleetka High School, he studied electrical at Oklahoma State Technical Institute in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Family was everything to Reggie, he was a great family man and a loving son, little brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. From his first marriage to Elizabeth Bethann Mannon, he gained and raised a son: Wallace Cook, and has since praised being Papa to three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He always made time to visit with his mother and his Aunt Faye in Weleetka.
Mr. Ward was a devout spiritual Christian who loved the Lord and praised Him often. He gave thanks for every occasion, large and small, was a faithful member of Weleetka First Baptist South church and believed in the power of prayer; his daily online prayers were an inspiration to many.
On January 21, 2017, Reggie met his life’s love, Lady Sou, Mindy Michelle Ward, and married on April 21, 2018. They have two children Matthew and Francesca Hill of the home. Reggie was a fantastic, bonus dad. They reside in Muskogee, Oklahoma until God called Reggie to his eternal home. He is preceded in death by his (no such this as step) father, Joe Copeland, his grandmother, Doretha Hinds, Uncles, William Copeland, and John Copeland.
