James Buckner Lowe

James Buckner Lowe of Holdenville passed away in Amarillo, Texas on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at the age of 66 years.

James was the son of Angel and Elizabeth (McGirt) Lowe, born on February 24, 1954, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where he was brought up and attended schools. He married Phyllis Herrod in August of 2000 in Yeager, Oklahoma. He worked for many years in Oklahoma City, for Covey Corporation in Holdenville, and in later years he worked in pipeline construction. He was a member of Wewoka Indian Methodist Church in Yeager.

He enjoyed watching football and basketball, particularly OU and Oklahoma City Thunder. He was a handyman and good at fixing things. He loved to fish and loved watching his nieces and nephews play various sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Elizabeth Lowe; his son, David Sanroman; his brother, Jerry Lowe; his sister, Tochee Narcomey; and two nieces, Erin Lowe and Taren Michelle Lowe.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Phyllis Lowe, of the home; his daughter, Tina Sanroman; four grandchildren, Angelina House, Xandir House, Marcus Carter, and ‘Chooch’ Sanders; one brother, Mike McGirt of Yeager; three sisters, Annette Lowe and Kay Lowe, both of Holdenville, and Linda Walker of Seminole; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

A wake service was held at Tokvbvche Methodist Church in Holdenville, 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26 th . Graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31 st , and James was laid to rest at McGirt Family Cemetery in Yeager, with Rev. Jason Paige officiating. Pallbearers were Jon Lowe, Ethan Narcomey, Erric Walker, Zach Walker, Caleb Franks, and Joe Scott. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin King, Derrick Walker, Tyler Acosta, Nathan Postoak, Shaun Franks, and Konor Lowe. www. fisherfh.net
