Irene House

Irene House passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 94.

Irene was born January 2, 1927 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Ethel (Garner) Byerly and George “Buddy” Byerly. She lived in Holdenville area most of her life; she attended Greenleaf School. Irene married JD House. She was a member of the Holdenville Assembly of God Church and enjoyed singing at church and loved music.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband JD House; siblings, Edward, Claude, Jack, Lester, Bill “Sonny”, J.D. and Byerly; daughter-in-law Sharon Leewright; and grandson Bryan Leewright.

She is survived by her daughter Marlene Leewright Crittenden of Wewoka; son Fred Wendell Leewright of Wewoka; brother, Clyde Byerly; grandson Eric Leewright; granddaughter Dana Lee Cook; great-grandchildren Jordan Cook, Austin Cook, Seth and Preston Leewright, Erica Smith, Hayden Leewright, and Brooke Mullen; great-great-grandchildren Carter, Cason, Everly, Canaan, Zane Cook and David Smith.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 15 ^th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Pastor Allen Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jordan Cook, Austin Cook, Greg Cook, Hayden Leewright, Eric Leewright and Amos Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Byerly, Bruce Byerly, Claude Byerly, Keith Byerly and Billy Jack Byerly.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
