Kenneth Jerome Sherrin

Kenneth Jerome Sherrin passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his home in The Colony, Texas, surrounded by his family. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berkshire Chapel in Frisco, Texas, officiated by Pastor Rick McCoy. Interment was in The Little Elm Cemetery.

Jerome was born on April 12, 1945 to Monroe Ollie and Freedia Harwell Sherrin. He married LaVaughn “BB” Mayfield in 1962 in Dallas, Texas.

Jerome was a Master Trim Carpenter, Master Mason and served on the board of the Little Elm Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVaughn; granddaughter, Ashley Defranco; brothers, Denton Sherrin, Noel O. Sherrin, Dewayne Sherrin, Melvin Sherrin, Harold Sherrin and sister, Loretta Goad.

He is survived by his daughter, Brigitte Ryon of Grand Prairie, TX; son, Rodney Sherrin of The Colony, TX; sisters, Imagene Stout (Herman), Marie McCombs (Jerry) and Virginia Gilbert (Norman); two grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.

Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas was in charge of services.
