Our sympathies extended to the families of Etta Marie Harness

Etta Marie Harness, 64, of Pierce, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the St. Francis Hospital of Muskogee.

Etta was born on August 22, 1957 in Floydada, Texas, the daughter of James Edward and Mary (Whitener) Teafiteller. She attended school at both Canadian and Crowder. In her younger years, Etta loved to travel. She loved to sew, make beaded jewelry and hang out with her grandkids and great-grandkids. You could always count on her to bring you McDonalds and a Dr. Pepper.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Harjo of twenty-eight years; daughters, Melissa Edwards of Harleton, Texas, Mendy Evans and husband Paul of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Misty Morris of Clearview, Oklahoma; brother, James Teafiteller and wife Terry of Checotah; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Anita Burns and Mary Reynolds and a brother, Roy Teafiteller.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Harness, Zachary Drumheller, Anthony Drumheller, Devan Harness, Levi Evans and Samuel Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Edwards Jr., Michael Edwards, and Jim Teafiteller.
