Christina Janice Screechowl
Christina Janice Screechowl passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the age of 77 years.
Christina was the daughter of Kenneth and Josephine (Cook) Factor, born on July 20, 1944. She grew up on family land near Holdenville, Oklahoma. She graduated from Holdenville High School and then attended and graduated from Haskell University, earning a degree in secretarial business in 1962. Christina married Eddie Screechowl on June 14, 1966. They lived in Sapulpa for many years and also lived in Keifer, Stroud and Henryetta.
Christina retired from Bartlett-Collins Glass Company in Sapulpa. During her career, she held the positions of select-packer, select-packer offi ce secretary, decorating department secretary, employee relations medical records clerk, relief PBX specialist, mail clerk and payroll accounting clerk. After retirement, she devoted her time to family and church and making and selling jewelry at art shows and festivals with her husband.Christina was a member of Wewoka Church. She was an avid photographer and reader. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed bringing them together for many special occasions. Christina was always on the go, made many memories and traveled to many places with her husband, who would not have done so without her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Josephine Factor; one sister, Richenda Joyce Factor; and one infant brother, Ricky Harjo.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Screechowl of Henryetta; daughter Kendra Claybrook of Tulsa; son Eddie Screechowl Jr of Alva; daughter Carmelita Ford of Owasso; and son Travis Screechowl of Owasso; grandchildren Taren Racine Screechowl, Justin Colby Screechowl, Jeffrey Wade Bowles, Talon Micco Claybrook, Savannah Screechowl, Cora Screechowl, Alyssa Screechowl, Charlie Ford, Cierra Screechowl, and Samantha Screechowl; and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12 th , at 1:00 pm at Wewoka Church in Yeager with Rev July Tecumseh offi ciating. Christina will be laid to rest at the family cemetery in Holdenville.
