Sue Messel

Sue Messel passed away Friday, January 13th, 2023 in Purcell, Ok.

Sue was born March 17th, 1947 near Arpelar, Oklahoma to Mac and Trudie Gourley Morris. She attended Stuart Public Schools and later married Mike Messel December 13, 1963 in Eufaula, OK. Sue was a member of Quest Church of Norman, OK.

Sue enjoyed doing housework, keeping her car and home spotless, planting flowers, going to Church and serving the Lord, spending time with her grandchildren and family whom will miss her dearly.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Mac and Trudie Morris and her grandson, Joshua Messel.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Messel, children, Lisa D’Aminco and husband Joe of Newcastle, OK., Teresa Messel of Norman, OK. and Deanna Fillmore of Goldsby, OK., grandchildren, Ryan Messel, Tyler Thomas, Ila Fillmore, Andrew Wyrick, Rylee Reece and Luke D’Aminco and a host of great grandchildren, siblings, Joe Morris of Arpelar, OK. and Shirley Glover of Ft. Smith, AR.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday January 18, 2023 at Pryor Cemetery Pavilion in Stuart, OK. with Pastor Walter Kuhlman officiat ing.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, OK.
