Teddy Johnny Jackson

Teddy Johnny Jackson was born on December 23, 1950 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Johnnie Hall and BellZora Jackson. Teddy passed from this life on August 25, 2023 at his home in Clearview, Oklahoma.

Teddy was born and raised in Weleetka.

During his school years he played many sports including football, basketball, and track. He was especially fond of the hurdles, and even held the state record for many years. Later on in life, with love of the sport, he coached a young man who would eventually break Teddy's own re cord.

After graduating high school at Weleetka, Teddy went on to East Central University in Ada, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree.

After college, he married his wife, Marilyn Jackson, and they moved between Okmulgee and Idabel. He began working at Kelco, from which he would retire. After Kelco, Teddy worked many other jobs includ- ing DHS, Arby's, and security jobs at several places. He also opened a restaurant in Okmul- gee called Big Ted's BBQ and Catfish.

Teddy was a man of few words, and very easy going. He had many hobbies and interests. Teddy enjoyed cooking, hunting, and playing golf. He was an avid fan of both OSU and the Pittsburg Steelers. He loved being involved in all of the sports the kids in his family would play. He had many nick-names from the people who loved him, including Hogg, Two-Shoes, Shoe, and Grampie.

Teddy is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Hall and BellZora Jackson; brothers, Cedell and Credell Jackson, Johnny Hall Jr.; and sisters, Delores Pryor Hubert, Loraine Cherry, Jeanette Jackson, and Theresa Kay Hall.

Teddy is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jackson; his three children, Teddy Jackson II and wife Heather, Amber Logan and husband Josh, and Gresha Currin; grandchildren, Mya Jackson, Ari Jackson, Brian Currin II, Camille Logan, Shane Logan, Brice Currin, and Teddy Jackson III (Trey); sisters, Gracie Hicks, Dorothy Hutcherson, Sandra Jackson Oliver, Geneva Holloway (Leonard), Juanita Wiggins, Christine Dubart and Alice Goodman; brother, David Hall; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A visitation for Teddy Jackson will be held Thursday, August 31 from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Williamson- Spradlin Funeral Home in Weleetka.

A graveside service will be held for Teddy at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 1, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Weleetka. Rev. Dr. Rabon Turner will officiate.
