Revel Jack Johnson

Rev. Revel Jack Johnson was born June 5, 1934 in Mortonsville, Kentucky to Howard Johnson and Agnes (Woolums) Johnson, passed away October 11, 2023. He was saved at Clear Creek Baptist Church in Woodford County Kentucky. Revel is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Deward Johnson of Washington State. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Lilley) Johnson of the home. Also, several cousins, niece and nephew of Washington State.

Revel attended school at Versailles, Kentucky and attended universities in North Carolina, Tennessee and OBU. Revel pastored his first church at Long Lick Kentucky at the age of 17. He practiced stop light preaching, evangelism and helped start several new churches and missions. In the early 50's, he came to Oklahoma and pastored at several churches including Carney, Atwood, Butner, Noble and Holdenville. Revel authored 136 Christian study books. He loved music and oil and acrylic painting. He loved his "Wal-Mart family". He was a people person and loved to share Jesus with everyone. He will be greatly missed. Viewing will be 2:00pm-7:00pm, Thursday, October 12, 2023 and 9:00am 7:00pm, Friday, October 13, 2023 at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Graveside service were at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 14

th , 2023 at Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Rev. Jim Crawford officiating. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
