Dirl Edward Ballard

Dirl Edward Ballard, known as Edward, passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 66 in his hometown of Holdenville, OK. He passed away suddenly but peacefully in his sleep in his home comforted by his wife.

Edward moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma as a small child. His mother Loujean would later marry Buster Price who was also a strong father figure to Edward.

Edward loved music and everything to do with music from dancing to writing his own lyrics and learning the guitar and bass guitar. Not only did he teach himself but also taught his children to play guitar. He was in a band called “Little Country” where he played different venues in the towns of Holdenville and Seminole. One of his favorite opportunities to play was during praise and worship. He was a man of faith and he felt music was one of the best ways to elevate his faith. He enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them everything from the joy of music to working on vehicles.

Edward was proceeded in death by: Adrian Edward Ballard (Father), Loujean Price (Mother), and Buster Price (Stepfather) Edward is survived by: Wife Karen Ballard, and three children. Shawn Ballard and wife (Heather), Eddie Ballard, and Charity Julian and husband (Wilman).

Memorial service was held at Legacy Church 310 North Echo in Holdenville, Oklahoma on November 11, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. Donations can be made through a GoFundMe account: https://gofund.me/3104b04c.
