Naomi Laverne Gore

Naomi Laverne Gore passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

Laverne was born March 20, 1937 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Otis P. Chitwood and Lillian Raye (Lewis) Chitwood.

Laverne graduated from Wewoka High School.

She married James Lloyd Gore. Laverne did clerical office work for JC Penny for many years.

Her and Lloyd loved the outdoors and went on numerous camping trips.

Laverne enjoyed quilting, gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Laverne was preceded in death by her parents; son Lloyd Wayne Gore; and siblings Kenneth Chitwood and Harold Chitwood.

She is survived by her daughter Penny Gore of Holdenville; daughter- in- law Sylvia Gore of Pink, Oklahoma; grandchildren Sean Gore, Brad Orsburn, Jacob Gore and Jesse Gore; several greatgrandchildren; siblings Frances Gore and Helen Rumbaugh. Laverne is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
