Anita Jean Pointer passed away at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the age of 67 years.
Anita is the daughter of Tommy Gene Chancellor & Orah June (Terry) Chancellor, born on June 25, 1956, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where she was brought up and attended schools. She graduated Holdenville High School with the class of 1974 and then attended East Central University in Ada, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She was married to Marcus Sandy and they were the parents of two daughters, Crystal and Heather. She was later married to Doug Pointer and was blessed with three more children, Derrick, Kelli, and Dylan. She worked several years for Phil Neill Accounting Firm in Seminole, and worked many years as Controller for Saber Industries in Seminole. Some of her favorite things were sewing, fish ing and water skiing. She loved following her grandchildren to all their games and activities.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Chancellor and June Johnson; her special friend and former husband, Doug Pointer; brother- in-law Donnie Epperley; sister Lana
Gaines.
She is survived by five children, Crystal Sandy (Nicholas Bullington) of Holdenville, Heather Morris (Matthew) of Holdenville, Derrick Pointer of Arkansas, Kelli Casteel (Jim) of Loveland CO, and Dylan Pointer (Noel) of Maine; seven grandchildren: Xander Morris, Kaden Morris, Cheyenne Fixico, Daygen Stone, Emerson Morris, Carsten Casteel, and Orion Pointer; siblings: Annette Epperley of Atwood, Danny Chancellor (Susie) of Seminole, Jim Turner (Holly) of Horntown, and Lynn Foster (Donald) of Newalla; niece Stephanie Epperley of Calera; stepmother Wanda Chancellor of Holdenville; other relatives and many friends; her two dogs, Roxy and Abby.
Funeral services are today, Thursday, March 21, 2024, 2:00pm at Holdenville Church of the Nazarene with Rev.
Dane Robinson of- ficiating. Viewing at the funeral home was Wednesday, March 20, 1pm-8pm.
