Service held for Thomas Warren Sawyer
Thomas Warren Sawyer, 70, of Ada, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at his home in Ada. Tom was born on February 13th, 1954 in San Diego, California to his parents Harry Sawyer and Thelma Jean (Sweet) Sawyer. As a young man, after he graduated high school in 1972 and went on to further his education at Wayne Vo-Tech. Tom then created a successful career as a self-employed electrician and heating and air technician specialist for over thirty years.
When he wasn’t working,
Tom enjoyed fishing in his spare time, but most of all he loved to be with his adoring family, of whom cherished their time with him. Tom was also a true be- liever in Jesus and loved to read his Bi ble and attend church any time he could.
He met the love of his life. Ava Sawyer in Sherman, Texas and together they
shared thirty-nine wonderful years to- gether until Ava's passing on May 19, 2024.
Tom is preceded in death by his wife Ava Sawyer, and his parents Harry Sawyer and Thelma Jean Sawyer.
Tom is survived by his
son Shane Wilhelm and wife Denise, daughter Jill Johnson and husband, daughter Angie Foran and husband Doug, daughter Becky and Jeff Filcht, brother Arnold Thogmartin, sister Marlene Lee and Joe, brother Louis Dunlap and Nancy, sister Barbara (Sawyer) Smithwick), sister Ar- netta Dunlap, twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held to hon or Tom’s life at the Methodist Church in Stratford, Oklahoma on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 2:00PM with Pastor Bob Wright officiating.
