A Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Clearview has waited for months for bridge repair to open the Main Street of their town. In 2023, during the spring, the creek water washed away the Main Street bridge. Through a series of USDA grants, COEDD, Okfuskee County District 3, and the Muskogee Creek Nation, a plan for a box bridge replacement was finalized. Just before the final steps to set the boxes in place, the storms, the spring storms retuned and halted progress. Soon and very soon, Clearview will have a new bridge in place and traffic will flow once again on Main Street. A small creek can halt a whole town.

OHCE Brown Suggas Participate in Boley Parade

Members of the Clearview Brown Suggas participated in the Memorial Day Boley Parade on Saturday, May 25th. The Club supports the town of Boley each year as a participant, as Boley is their sister city. The parade began at 3:00 p.m. Daughters of Lee and Leslie Vick decorated the Nero van and the Lee Vick truck for Clearview Mayor Marilyn Jackson. Those predicating were Pat Johnson of IXL, Elaine Evans of Okemah, and Patsy French, Shirley Nero, Hellen Bush, and Joyce Barrett, all of Clearview.

It was great to have Claren Horn, his sister Lois Horn Gaudet, and his three daughters in Clearview for Memorial Day. Clarence is extremely ill and wanted to make the trip one more time. Please continue your prayers for Marjorie Plunket, Clarence Horn, Terry Normore, and Jerry French as they struggle with cancer. Remember those on our sick list, Irene Carson, Otis Davis, Taft Forshee, Tiger French, Wilbert Zackery, Yolanda Jackson, Becki Stripling, Christopher Stripling, and Earnest Hamilton.
